Due to an expanding workload, Central Engineering Services Ltd is recruiting an Experienced Machinist & Programmer for a full-time, permanent role with an immediate start.

The Role

As an Experienced Machinist & Programmer, your responsibilities will include:

• Programming jobs from engineering drawings

• Setting and operating CNC milling machines and/or lathes (Fanuc or Mazatrol controls)

• Machining a variety of materials including carbon steel, aluminium, and stainless steel

• Working to tight tolerances from both drawings and verbal instructions

• Ensuring scheduled maintenance of machines and equipment

Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for someone with:

• Proven experience in a similar machining role

• Programming & setting skills

• Experience with Fanuc or Mazatrol controls

• A proactive approach and ability to work independently or as part of a team

• Strong communication skills

• A genuine passion for engineering

Pay & Hours

• Hourly Rate: £16.00 – £22.00 (based on experience)

• Expected Hours: 40+ hours per week

• Schedule:

  • Day shifts

  • 8 or 10-hour shifts

  • Monday to Friday only

  • Overtime available

  • No weekend work
